Questions and Answers
If you have questions about Compassion & Comfort Care Cleaning, what we do, what we offer, or how we do it, you’re not alone. Many of the clients we work with have several questions. Take a look at the list below to see if your question and the answer is there. Otherwise, please give us a call. We would be glad to talk with you.
Do you have to report a hoarding situation?
Safety is our highest concern. We are required to report dangerous situations, but our clients’ privacy and dignity is extremely important to us.
Do you post client information anywhere online?
No, we are 100% confidential. If a customer would like to leave a review online, they certainly can, but we never share a single piece of client information that the client has not agreed can be shared.
Do you have resources available for hoarders other than cleaning services?
Yes, we can connect you with the appropriate agencies and individuals to make sure you have the help you need. We understand that contacting us is only one part of the life-changing decision you’ve made, and we will help make the entire process as painless as possible.
Will you take or throw away everything whether the client wants you to or not?
No. Never. The client is firmly in charge. As our founder, Theresa, says often, “You’re the one driving the bus.”
Where do you begin?
We prioritize safety and health first and foremost. Once we evaluate the situation, we will offer recommendations on where to begin. Then, we’ll set up a series of small steps with a specific goal which will lead to more steps and the next goal and so on until you’ve reached the goal you’d like to achieve.
Once the stuff is at a manageable level, do you also clean?
Yes. Once all of the stuff has been organized, packed out, thrown away, or stored, we then clean the whole home.
Do you offer remodeling services?
No, we do not, but we can connect you with someone who does.
Do you pack up items and then take them to storage as part of your service?
Yes, absolutely. We can assess at the time of our initial visit what your needs are and prepare for storage arrangements at that time. We can assist with on-site or off-site storage options.
